Confirmed. Sunday there was darn near 6" at LI. Not sure how this rain will effect it but I'm sure that I'll be out here in the next few days, have to work Wednesday.

as of yesterday they were catching crappie in the channels around blackhawk. 4-5 inches of ice. this rain worries me.

I was at Lucy's yesterday 5inches of ice- caught near 20 keeper bluegill in 4 hours on chartruese and black also caught a saugeye and a keeper perch. Rain will prohibit access to Lucy's till we have another cold spell. The ice we walked on to get to Lucy's was onkly 3inches thick and with this rain could open up before the weekend- back to fishing at LI

Was over to the lake thursday and most ice was only 1 inch or less some area's had ice in them that had blown in off the main lake making for very unstable ice so be careful if you find it

hey dan after I saw you over at mike's today I went back to LI and checked the hole that someone has drilled, mind you it was only 30-50 feet off of the bank but the ice was six inches maybe we can hook up some evening this week Thursday possibly I don't get off until 3:30 so the soonest I could be there would be 4:30 I would like to try it but not alone I'm sure there are some thin spots

Went out on Monday for a few hors and found 3 1'2 inches on Long Island fished for 2 hours and only 1 fish Ice was really cracking hard it sounded like a collission you could here it coming and man was it eary.

fished thursday and friday and should have stayed home. Caught 10 keepers both days combined one thing that was weird was caught a bunch of perch but only 3 to 5 inches so that will be good for years to come. will be on ice sunday and then again tuesday and weds

Fished in the channels yesterday- 3inches of quality ice or so over at IL. A good number of people were pulled over at the second pull off but I pulled over at he first and fished there. - Same story - nothing but small ones.
