Quebec City, St-Lawrence river! Amazing!

Postby steven girard » Wed Sep 26, 2012 8:04 pm

Here in Quebec City, we have to do with the tide, twice a day, it lift up the ice about 12 to 20 feet, then going back to the bottom and just lay on multiples rocks, that's caused many breack point of the ground..it's spécial to see that and a little scarry....Sometime it's look like fishing on another planet. :wow:

Wow! That's the type of ice we stay away from down here on the lakes!
I would be afraid to stand on that!

I see you have to build right on the water. You couldn't pull that past those big pieces!

It is interesting to see it form that way. Thank you for sharing those.

That's cool Steven, i have only been to Quebec city once, beautiful city. When I was there I worked in a place called St. Mary, wonderful people. Still remember the churches, they where so well looked after and beautiful you could not miss them.

Yesss it was funn to saw back the fishing village!

Image

It was directly on the skates, so we fixed that!

Image

Fix the roof problem, cause it was directly on the metal sheet(to mutch condensation)

Image

Image

Cuted all the wood!

Image

Lifted it of 5 inches in eatch corner and filled below with snow, now the wind got no effect for the two holes below!

Image

Let a big shovel there to keep the parking and the fishing place on the ice(to avoid to have water under the snow if never it rain!

Image

Image

That's agood start, we did'nt fish a lot cause we dont take live baits with us, so got no bite on regular lures!

Anyway everything is done for the next time....Watch out pikes!

16,5'' where we are,,but not enought deep below(about 18-20'' of water under the ice)..they have to wait until got 12'' to make another road in front to moove deeper!

Today it was a shovel and snowblower day! Got from last night to 9 this morning about 1 feet of snow and maybe 3 inches more in afternoon! Yearkk!
