Ice Fishing Comes to an Early End in Central Ohio

Postby Banker » Wed Feb 06, 2008 8:07 am

Was out Monday at Indian Lake ...the last safe body of water to ice fish at that time. We sat on top of 3-4 inches of ice with 1-2 inches of water on top of it. The water to ice ratio was worse when we left. We caught bought 20 crappie all day ..a good first and last day of ice fishing. Forecast and averages have Monday's trip being tha last available ice for anglers. Unless something radical happens I look forward to a very cold and long winter next year when I can get more than one day of ice fishing in. So long and see you on open water soon.
