1st Rabbit

Postby fish finder » Sun Feb 08, 2009 11:57 am

Yesterday I was up at my friends place. I went out on their trail with my dad. We were approching the end when I spotted a three pound, full grown, female hair in the thickets. I loaded the 4 10 and got ready. Dad told me to get closer because I would never shoot it through the thickets. The rabbit took one step foward and got ready to run after I took one step. I thought to myself, forget it. Then I said, look out! BAM! I shot. I didn't see it at first and thought it got away but my father screamed, you got it! Then I saw it and couldn't believe it. It ran only about 3 and a half feet. The bullet went strait through it's body above the shoulder. At first it was still alive, but carying it back upside down killed it. I felt great! Everyone was so proud and shocked (in a good way). I cleaned and gutted it myself. I also got my suvenier (the tail). I'll eat it tonight and tell you all about it.
The harder the challenge, the greater the reward!
