Looking for fishing buddies

Postby Velcro » Fri Jan 23, 2009 7:14 pm

Hello. I've been fishing for about two years straight now, But I have not gone ice fishing yet. I was hoping to go ice fishing last year but never got around to it... I have an ice jigging pole, a tip up and could pull together a tacklebox of ice worthy lures but I don't have an auger or even more importantly any fishing buddies willing to go out in the cold with me.

Anyone willing to let a newbie on the ice with them? I don't get cold or bored too easily so I won't be whining :P I love panfish, especially perch, but I really want to try for the salmon in Lake Mashapaug.

I'm in the northeastern corner of the state, near Woodstock.

I haven't gotten out on the ice yet, but the fishing reports seem good.

BTW, I'm expecting to get an ice chisel tomorrow.
