I picked up a Remington model 7 in a 7mm-08 2 years ago. I have yet to shoot a deer with it but i have taken one coyote. I originally sighted it in with 140 grain bulltes and switched to 150 grains. The heavier bullet seems to group better. I sighted it in 1 inch high @ 100yrds and it seems to be pretty much right on @ 200. I tend to spend more time stalking and tracking and it is nice and light to carry thru the woods. I have heard many good things about the caliber and see no reason that it wouldn't do the job on a deer.

Buddy Dan started shooting one two years ago. Has killed a bunch of deer with his encluding two Giant Saskatewan Whitetail bucks. If im not mistaken his is a Remington, but im not positive about that. I know he really likes it though.
Good Luck, Adam

I am still interested in a 7mm-08 I see the new R-25 remington does anyone know if it is okay to hunt with it in Canada. It has only a 4 shot clip, however I have heard it has some extra restrictions on it .

I shoot a Remington 7m and its an awesome gun. I shoot 150 grain bullets and shoot a nice group(even with a low quality scope). I would recommend it to anyone. Ive killed several deer with it and never had to "track" more than 60 yards........
How to ice more keepers? Drill, drill, drill then drill a few more holes.
