In Massachusetts we land Large Mouth Bass all the time. Most of the public waters have Pikerel (Esox Niger) and LM Bass as the main species and many ice anglers, like myself, target those specifically. I fish tip ups with live shiners and hit Bass and picks with the occasional Crappie. The fish and game in MA stocks pany ponds with rainbow trout and landlocked salmon as well. Salmon hit the live shiners I have landed a few over the years.
