With the rough conditions on our lakes 10" of snow with snow drifts up to 3' slush under that, it's hard to get where I want

Mmmm yummy! 
Yes, this year has been great for nice thick ice, but the snow makes walking a lot tougher. I've spent most days close to shore for rainbows.
