Anyone know if it is ready to be fished? I looked on the winter report online and it says the ice up there is anywhere from 0-7 inches and that it is fishable, but I'd rather here from someone that has been on it

I'm heading out there today
I caught 2 chain pickerels during the 4 hours that I was out there. Used minnows on a regular tip-up setup. It was cold as hell up there but the wind wasn't too bad...overall successful

I fished yesterday in Wayne County. The Winter Report here was 0-8 at an area park. Fishing a pond in the same area, at the same elevation (1490 ft) we had 8-10 inches of great ice. We fished about 4 hours in some tough wind trying for a bass or two. I ended up with about 12 flags catching some perch and a few big pickerel. It was fun.

Fished there Sunday. Ice was about 10" where we were. Not much action tho caught 1 Pike and 1 Perch in about 3 hrs. Had Fatheads shiners meal worms and maggot's for bait.
