Crappie in a pond

Discuss fishing for black and white crappies through the ice. It's tough to beat a good school of crappies through hard water.

Crappie in a pond

Postby george77 » Sat Jun 18, 2011 1:40 pm

I just placed about 15 black crappie in my pond in hopes to catch them through the ice when that time comes around again. I was wondering how well do crappie bite in the winter? Do they bit better than bluegill?
Thanks in advanced

fun to catch through the ice...minnows will stir them up this winter. how deep is your pond?
if hunting and fishing was my job I should be rich by now.
