More NW Wis. Crappies

Discuss fishing for black and white crappies through the ice. It's tough to beat a good school of crappies through hard water.

No body out there ,just my son Collin ,my brother Russ and me. Got to love fishing during the week. When almost everyone goes home from their cabins or are busy at work. We get a decent day of fishing. Fish were 10-12", nothing real big but good fish anyhow.

Tip: Find 4-12' of water with cabbage growth. On most lakes you can see down to the bottom. Sight fish. Wait for the fish to bite set the hook. Kids love it, it's like a under water camera but better. You can see it all go down. We caught fish a foot under the ice in 4' of water. It is my favorite way to fish late season crappies. Try it out. Good luck.
