wow some of those gills look like paper plates there so wide.now thats what I call slabs..nice job guys.great pic's too.that one on the little round table is unbelivable.what a chunk.makes me want to travel to wis.to do a fish.keep em comming.

here are a couple redears i caught a few years ago. both are over a pound and 1 is 11 inches and one is 11 1/2 inches!

My biggest gill was only about 9", but I have caught a 13" rock bess in canada!

caught a 14" bluegill off a spawn bed in the spring in my grandmas pond, released it tho and didnt think to take pics. get quite a few 10-12 during spawning in that pond so really didnt think to take a pic

Caught a bluegill that measured 11.5" on the nose back in 1978 on Wheeler Lake in WI. After quickly measuring the fish, I released it. I have not broken 9.75" since, but do not fish water where larger fish exist because nobody seems to get any either and I have put my tape on a lot of 10-11" fish that suddenly got ruler-shrinkage.

As soon as I pop an 11" it will go on the wall, right next to the spot reserved for the elusive 12# Walleye.
