Yup, nice fish, both. And believe it or not Jim, they get a lot bigger than that one you got up there the other night! We regularly get them from Carmi in the 15-16 inch class! Hopefully Sherry and I will get a few tomorrow morning up there. If so, I'll post a couple pics. We'll be leaving here about 1:30 AM or so, to head up there. With some luck, we'll get a few 'eyes and pike too? Time will tell? -Jim

when ever i go perch fishing i also run into a lot of the keepers that are full of eggs. about a month ago i had a nice mess that i filleted and also kept the eggs and fried them up along with the fillets. the eggs tasted kinda mushy and fairly fishy. do you keep and eat the eggs on a regular basis? i have eaten lake whitefish eggs and they seem to taste alot better than the perch.

Not all the time i usally only keep and eat the little ones do to the fact the bigger ones are really fishy. But I took this one and muched it up abit and fried it slow and it came out very nice. I will probly keep more from now on. I like them just like a hashbrown to me. You should see the looks I get at work when I pop them out...LOL....jim s
