I love to spear pike. I am going this weekend, time to drag the spearing house out. Up here in MT there are a few good lakes to spear out of for big pike but you have to have a lot of patience. I have sat for countless hours just to see a pike come look at my decoy. If you have clear water it can make for some great fish watching. Good Luck!

Didn't use flash, that's just the light shining off the white decoy. The water is pretty clear in this lake, the decoy is actually down about 4 feet/

I did a lot of spearing in Central MN over the last few years. I live in Fargo, ND now so I am looking for places to spear near Moorhead (I'm a student so I'm still an MN resident). Anyone have any advice on where I could see some northerns?

A bit south and west of you, but I've fished the lidgerwood and Lake City areas. Lots to choose from, bigger water in the lake city area.

Then of course..Devil's Lake holds the monsters!

Which lakes do you like best? It's hard to beat Peck, especially for size, but Fresno has more action.
