Wet melted ice floor under flasher

Postby LAG » Sun Sep 29, 2013 7:15 pm

In my hub style shack the buddy heater heats things up nicely but after a little time the "floor" ends up a puddle of water. Don't want my flasher sitting in water. What do you all set your finder on to keep it dry?

Buckets work well. I have a buddy who cut a 5 gallon pail so that 1/4 of the diameter minus a few inches on the bottom was gone so that his flasher could be read. Most of the time though I don't worry about water.

Yup, a bucket works best. Flip it over and have at it. If ya wanna save some room look for a 2-1/2 gal. Bucket. We have a bunch from when we bought the polymeric sand for locking in paver stones. There half the height and have a locking lid. He height of a regular bucket is alot easier on your neck though. :thumb:
