what is the brand of ice auger that you run ?

Jiffy lightning I won in a fishing derby raffle about 15 years ago. I've had to mess w/ the throttle linkage recently (broke) but otherwise it starts every winter .It is a bit on the heavy side around 38 lbs. Wouldn't mind something lighter if I ever have to buy a new one, maybe a strikemaster.

I picked up an old spoon auger last year (it cost me a 30 pack ).

I had intended to sharpen it up and try it at least once, but I haven't gotten that far yet. Eventually it will be a wall hanger.

You take an old hand drill, buy an adapter for it to fit a 20 volt DeWalt drill and you have the best auger you will ever need for up to a seven inch hole.I have drilled twenty, six inch holes , through 16 inches of ice faster than a power auger.
