Thats news, didn't know HT was making augers ?? I tend to be wary of anything HT offers for sale, their chinese made ice gear doesn't hold up well on the ice !

Jiffy propane auger, so far so good, love it, one pull and starts, no fumes, no mixing gasoline and oil. Hope it stays this way, as I sold the old jiffy model 30

When I bought my Z51 I got it with the 10" bit. I bought an 8" this year so my wife wont yell at me for having such a big hole. She fell in one last year.

I run a jiffy legend big ole 3hp w/ 10 in. auger .Lugging it around helps keep you warm!

My go to auger is a strikemaster, back up Jiffy moddel 30. Ive got to be honest I take both of them everytime I go. If Im going to a remote place and have a ways to walk I lock the jiffy in the truck. They are both awesome. Next year Im going to get the smallest Nills and have an adapter built for my spare strikmaster power head. That wil be light weight and my new go to auger I bet.

Tundraboy, I hear that! The ol' Model 30 is a bear! I could see leaving it behind when you're walking!

That's why I got the NILS. When I'm going to walk a long distance and just going to use my glide-lite sled the NILS is light and easy to carry. The ol one-arm Jiffy is easier if I have the snowmobile or the jet sled and not dragging as much as stuff.

3rd year on my lazer hand auger.just dont get ice like we used to.if we were to actually get 10" of ice , id actually consider it, but with it being 6" or so im not pulling any more weight than i have to.
