I love these cold frosty mornings, 19* here. It cools down the big lakes, but it's got to get way down before LG will even think of freezeing!

21 here and the dogs water bowl is froze up ! Drifter has trout on the ice up the in the NWT, finally some ice porn !

Yep, I found a 5 gal bucket filled with rainwater outside with an inch of ice! (Finally tried out my new Jiffy chisel, in other words lol)

Morning to you all. Its colder here in Poughkeepsie ,NY this morning. 25 de. Next week its going to get warm again. This figures, My wife just bought me an ice shantie, I' m going to tell her I need an auger today. I was at Dicks yesterday looking over what I'm going to need. Its going to be expensive as I don't have anything. It was back in the early 70s when I last Ice fished. Back then you needed a small pole, 5 tip ups, bait and some time. Now you need everything from a tent to whatever you can dream up. After I buy all this stuff everyone will want to kill me and Al Gore as the weather will turn warm. I need one year cold so I can get out there and enjoy.

Thanks for the encouragment. I don't like Al Gore anyway. I'm thinking of setting up my small table to put my small grill on. Gas model. Keep my coffee hot chilli hot and maybe cook a hamburger with hot peppers. I don't fish well without food. After all, after hauling all the stuff I have to have at great expense, Why not enjoy.

OK its getting colder, Don't have a therm. It feels like snow , but just cold. To you guys up north my cold is your summer. This must be making ice somewhere.
