went out for a wekend on perch lake in jefferson county, got a ton of pickerel and a couple pike. which my GF's brother said was weird, he said they usually only catch a couple pickerel and a bunch of pike, but anyways, ended up with the biggest pike (that we entered in the alexandria bay derby) that was 7.5 pounds and 32" long. got a couple more 25" pike, the pickerel, ton of perch, which we threw most of back, and one monster suprise crappie

however while cleaning the fish we noticed little grubs crawling around in the flesh of a few perch and a pike. gonna ask DEC what it is tomorrow

Yuk! If they were actually "crawling around", as you say, they were no doubt some type of roundworm. I've seen these in fish before. Be sure to cook all fish thoroughly before eating. -Jim
