How are we ever going to get good ice with this crazy weather? 55 degrees for New Years day pttt

Well, it hasn't hurt the ice down this way yet. The snow still hasn't melted off the ice on the reservoir near the house here (Wrightsville). My guess is, with the snow off the ice, much better ice will form once the mercury drops again. Let's face it, it is January and it's gonna get cold soon. Lots of folks out fishing today, with the nice weather and light winds.

Sorry to hear that Webster. Yup, the wind and above freezing temps can do damage in a hurry, once the snow is off the ice. Supposed to be high in the 20s and lows in the teens all this week. That should firm things up again! -Jim
