Pike fishing today in Concord

So today a me and a couple buddies tried going for Pike today on the Sudbury River. No luck but we had a great time non the less. Did see one group pull in a mid 30's. Any suggestions on this place? Between all the groups that were there today there must have been appox. 50 tip ups set up. Didnt really see any action to speak of tho. Is this common? was it just an off day? particular time of day when they are hotter? We did have our traps set up all over , and all up and down the water column. We all plan on making a return trip there next sunday. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated Thx, Jack

Were you guys on Heards? If so, that place has been pounded hard this year. it hasn't been producing as well as in recent years.
