Sad to say, my first ice fishing trip of the year was last weekend. Way too late for my liking. First trips are ones
where I "get my bearings" and make sure I can locate all my gear. I put out three traps in front of camp and "kept an
eye on them" while I snowblowed the driveway. I drowned 5 smelt. No flags, but it was fun none the less.
I found all my gear except a lead sounder which was at home, in my desk drawer.

A very big thanks once again to Wild Things for the bait. Will be stopping by again next trip North. Hopefully sooner
rather than later.

Oh yea. It was cold.

With any luck my first day out will be this Sunday. Looking at little sebago, had some good luck their last year. Still waiting to hear how much ice is their but i am sure it is fine after this week.

I'd like to. Just to keep the girls out of the wind tomorrow but I'd need a wheeler with a hitch to get it on the ice.
