A small hydraulic jack may work.Start with one corner and see how it goes from there.

put the calcium to it along the skids and chisle as well. the cal should melt the ice and make it nice and easy to get it out

it isnt going to take much cal. a couple cups maybe. its gonna compromise the ice around where your shack is after for a few days so be careful

The old timers used to use thier Deer rifles to free a frozen house. I have seen it done several times. They shoot at the base and the ice seriously blows away. I guess it's an "old timer" thing. May be a Windsor thing too who knows. It did work however.

6 Inches is darn'n deep! Didn't you have it on runner's? And if you did you have the heat in the shack to damn' hot when in there. Was this a fish shack or party shack? Had a party shack in my single years and sunk right in the ice! Now have a fish shack and they pop right out. Only Now keep it comfortable for fishers not the crowd. LOL!

yes it is. i seldom have mine forzen in. get some 4x4 or 6x6 and cut it into short pieces, about a foot long and leave that dunage in your shack. everytime you use it just add a piece of dunage if need be. we always put our shack on 6x6's starting the day we put it out.
