Different lake today, totally private no inlet or outlet dnr regs do not apply here, didnt get out till 11am half hour later a half limit on the ice.

Kept more than I really wanted to clean and released another 20 or so just for fun. This is one of the lakes I only hit once or twice a year, very little fishing takes place here, it has been this way for the several years I have fished it. I dont want to wear my welcome out and appreciate the limited opportunity to get on it.

Saturday spanked em on the very public lake i have been fishing on this week, figured I had spent to much time in this area already, and had better fish somewhere else on sunday, still no one fishing anywhere near me. Bit till 1030 then shut down, vex still loaded when I left.

Wow the ice is going fast around me, got out early this morning, had 5 nice ones in 5 minutes started releasing some that i proly should have kept had I known it was going to slow down so soon. Pecked away at em, moved around a bit, left around 11 with a nice mess, mostly crappie the gills just didnt want to play today. This pic is for Jim, I know how you like a nice mess of crappie.

Thanks guys, ice is leaving fast trying to put the hurt on em for the lack of fishing ice the past 2 seasons, my dad only got out once this year so im putting some up for him as well.

Stopped off on the way home today and tried a different lake and caught this 11 1/2 guy, guess its a Herring

not positive but i think its a cisco, only one lake in the area with them in that i am aware of and the water has some color. any pannies there? havent fished it in years, kinda grew up fishing that lake tho if its the same one. Didnt go out today myself.

Yup - that's a cisco. We have them at my grandfather's cabin near Baldwin, didn't know there were any around here. Supposed to be fantastic when smoked.
