6" ice and growing!!!!

Well SE Iowa and NE Missouri has great ice now and it will be growing. I must say though it has a great deal of snow on it though which leads to lack of oxygen on the small bodies of water and the dreaded fish kill. Not to mention that most bodies of water were low due to the dry summer and fall which also hurts because of the excess decay of vegitation. In saying that the fishing is great here but how long will it last???? So if you got the spot and the time I strongly urge you to go early ice because it could get rough later one!!!!
