I'm new to ice fishing

This year I would like to try ice fishing. I'm looking for any advice. Such as jigs to use, type of bait, technique or anything that may help. Thanks,

I'm upstate ny. Will be fishing lake champlain. The type of fishing will be mostly perch. Thanks

Hard to beat a Champlain bibbit for perch on Champlain. Otherwise, i fish a drop shot with minnows.
