marcum vs vexilar over weeds

Just watched an online vedio on Vexilar flashers. When fishing over weed beds flashers will show a lot of noise making it hard to find true bottom. Vexilar has a low power setting that lets you see true bottom a lot better in these situations. I've been leaning towards the Marcum but after viewing the video I'm not so sure. Anyone have experiance with Marcum over weeds and does Marcum have a low power seting?
